Update on Fallen Pride and Wounded Warrior Project.

Fallen Pride is coming along well. I'm just over 56% done writing, if it gets to 100,000 words. If it winds up being only 80,000 words, then I guess I'm 70% done.

Half the proceeds from Fallen Pride are going to be donated to Wounded Warrior Project and WWP has taken notice and did a short write up on their website as well as a few other book promoting websites.

A friend and sister Marine, who is a professional photographer has kindly donated her services for the cover photo. It will feature a Marine sitting down, with his head in his hands. Surrounding him will be Wounded Warriors from many branches of service. Her husband is an Wounded Warrior Soldier.

I've been promoting it like crazy on Facebook and Twitter and hundreds of people are retweeting my blurbs, reaching tens of thousands of people. Interest is starting to reach a fever pitch.

I plan to do a huge promotion when it launches next month. My first book in the series, Fallen Palm is going to be advertised on BookBub and the Fussy Librarian at the same time. It will be at a reduced price of only 99 CENTS for Kindle users and should sell somewhere in the range of 1000 to 3000 copies in that one day. At the same time, my second book will be reduced to only $1.99 and it will benefit from the BookBub ad as well, probably selling 500 to 1000 copies on that day.

Fallen Pride will launch a couple of days ahead of this at $3.99 and I'm hoping it will sell at least 100 copies that day and over 1000 for the month. If so, I'll be sending a check to Wounded Warriors 60 days later (royalties are paid 2 months after the end of the month) in the neighborhood of $1400 and hopefully do that every month.

I plan to leave the price of Fallen Palm at $.99 permanently after the promotion, as a hook to attract more readers. Fallen Hunter will go up to $3.99 a few days after the promotion and Fallen Pride will remain at $3.99 until it's selling 40 copies a day consistently. Then I can raise it to $4.99 and be donating over $2000 a month to this very worthy cause.
